Okay so not TOTALLY the season yet-but since I just bought Phoebe her 1st pair of pink suede boots with pink furry insides I figured I would post a holiday card to help justify my winter purchase!

This card uses one of my new favorite color combinations-Soft Sky, Purely Pomegranate, and Blue Bayou. I *LOVE* that SU! has coordinating stitched ribbon for all of the In Colors this year. Last year I was not su into the In Colors and only bought Cool Caribbean-but this year I REALLy like the depth of color and variation in the line and have bought all of them! 

Card starts put as a regular 4 1/4 x 11″ card folded in half, then about 1 3/4″ are folded in towards the inside of the card on one end. I used sticky strip to hold those small 1 3/4″  sides down. A panel is added on the front and I cut out snowflakes from Snowfall and adhered them to the panel. White cardstock was added to the inside and I used the Slit Punch to create a tab-which I 1st saw Michelle Wooderson do (adorable idea!). The panel is slid under the tab and adhered down so the card falls open. The little pocket on the inside is perfect to hold a gift card. I used the same layout on the Fabulous Cracked Glass Flower card a few posts down.

QTFM: Always put all of the elements of your card together and THEN add your Crystal Effects and glitter. If not you will be trying to work around the wet glitter and inevitably smear it or smoosh it around (trust me on that one, LOL!).  Glitter is my last step.
